Cilantro Burgers

These were the tastiest burgers I'd had in a while, and they were really easy.
Since we're keeping it Paleo, I just did a lettuce wrap, but feel free to add the tastiest bun you can find.

Original recipe here!

Start out by chopping a cup of cilantro and one small onion.
Yup, I'm having too much fun with my new camera.  Now, wash your hands REALLY well and dive in - mix the cilantro and onion with 1 lb of burger (the original recipe uses turkey burger, I used venison).  Add liberal amounts of salt and pepper.  When everything is well-mixed, form four patties.
Fry those babies up until a) cooked all the way through and b) nicely browned on the outside.

Serve up with some nice julienned red bell peppers.  This was also REALLY good with guacamole.
Eat with napkin and plate handy, because this can get a little messy :)

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the grill, or turn the broiler on low.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and use a fork your hands to mix well.
  3. Divide into 4 portions and shape into patties.
  4. Grill or broil until cooked to desired temperature.
